I do this with 35mm, 120 and large format film as well. When the films are scanned the drive they are saved to is a portable one which is then plugged into my W7 PC and imported into Lightroom and copied onto the other hard drives. I have a seperate desctop PC with Windows XP installed that isn't connected up to the internet. To make my scanner work, I do it the easier way ( to me). The software is supposed to be better than the Minolta one. So trying (free) and then buying Vuescan is the best option for running it on Windows 10. I couldn't work out how to make this work though. The only way to get it to run on a PC later is to install "vertual PC" (or whatever the name is) so you can run older software on modern PC's. Īs Minolta transfered the imaging side of the buisness to sony, including scanners, no further updates happened for later O/S. The original Minolta drivers only work on PC's up to Windows XP ( and what ever MAC was current at the time ). I have the DiMage Scan Dual IV for my 35mm scanning. Is this a good machine and does anyone know if the drivers will work with Windows 10? Obviously an earlier version than the Elite II. I have an opportunity to purchase a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400.
